At Medicus Hospital, our Cancer Biopsy Analysis Center is a pioneering facility—the first of its kind in Iraq. It is specifically designed to provide rapid, definitive diagnoses for cancerous tissues, ensuring that patients can receive world-class oncology care without the need to travel abroad.

The center operates through integrated units that bridge the gap between initial sampling and final treatment planning:

  • Pathology & Histology Unit: Specialized in the microscopic examination of tissue to identify specific cancer types and grades.

  • Molecular Diagnostics Unit: Analyzes the genetic makeup of tumors to help oncologists identify the most effective targeted treatments.

  • Interventional Radiology Unit: Uses advanced imaging (PET CT, Ultrasound) to guide minimally invasive biopsy procedures with high precision.
